Recently, we obtained new MPV spy photos through relevant channels. Our sources spotted the vehicle charging at a BYD station. The front light contour clearly reveals the Ocean Network design. Past online leaks provide extra context for these images. This vehicle likely represents the first BYD Ocean Network MPV. Experts expect it to launch officially by the end of the year.

The new car still wears heavy camouflage. However, key details show big differences from the Ocean-V concept. BYD debuted that concept car at the 2026 Beijing Auto Show. The outline, light layout, and windows all look very distinct. The overall look leans toward a traditional MPV style. The vehicle will feature a large grille and traditional door handles. It also mounts a LiDAR sensor on the roof.

As a review, the Ocean-V concept car is a large five-seat MPV that boasts highly versatile cabin expansion modes, including a center screen that can slide left and right, 180° rotating seats, an automatically retracting steering wheel, a front-row expansion projection screen, hidden tray tables, and a one-touch bed mode. Whether these clever designs will be retained in the mass-produced model remains to be seen, and we will continue to follow and report on this.
